Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded at Van Gelder Studio, this exemplary session features the saxophonist and flutist backed by a legendary rhythm section of Elvin Jones and Buster Williams, alongside Chick Corea on electric piano. The compositions straddle the line between muscular, modal post-bop and the emerging electric textures of jazz fusion. It stands as one of the most adventurous and rhythmically intense releases in the early CTI catalog.
