Album Notes & Community Reviews

Departing drastically from his traditional roots-rock background, Joe Henry assembled a backing band of legendary jazz musicians, including Ornette Coleman and Brad Mehldau. 'Scar' seamlessly marries sophisticated, smoky jazz improvisation with Henry's deeply poetic and nocturnal Americana songwriting.
