Album Notes & Community Reviews

Backed predominantly by the alternative country pioneers The Jayhawks, the esteemed songwriter delivered a beautifully rustic and unpretentious collection of roots music. 'Short Man's Room' highlights Henry's sharply observed, literary lyricism framed by warm acoustic guitars, mandolins, and aching vocal harmonies. The record signaled a mature artistic breakthrough, firmly establishing him within the burgeoning Americana movement.
