Album Notes & Community Reviews

Multi-instrumentalist Joe McPhee traveled to Switzerland to record 'Old Eyes' for the Hat Hut label, leading a dynamic European-American ensemble. The album is a brilliant exploration of free jazz dynamics, moving seamlessly between explosive group improvisations and tender, deeply melodic solo passages. It highlights McPhee's profound emotional depth and unique structural phrasing.
