Album Notes & Community Reviews
Collaborating with producer Andrew Broder, the Red Lake Ojibwe singer completely recontextualizes traditional powwow singing within abrasive, modern soundscapes. Rainey's powerful, soaring vocal performances are anchored by jagged, mechanical post-industrial beats and tense electronic manipulation.
