Album Notes & Community Reviews

The visionary solo album recorded just before the formation of Weather Report. 'Zawinul' is a deep, atmospheric, and highly original work that blends electronics, world music influences, and avant-garde textures. It's a key document that showcases the unique compositional voice of Joe Zawinul, pointing directly to the impressionistic, collective sound he would perfect with his legendary new band.
