Album Notes & Community Reviews

Featuring the renowned Casals Festival ensemble, this recording navigates the lush, deeply melancholic textures of Brahms's early chamber masterpiece. The expanded six-piece string arrangement allows for an incredibly rich, symphonic density executed here with profound lyrical sensitivity. It remains a towering, highly emotional landmark in the documentation of 19th-century romanticism.
