Album Notes & Community Reviews
Commissioned to celebrate the inaugural season of the Davies Symphony Hall, John Adams's 'Harmonium' is a monumental work for large chorus and orchestra. The recording showcases Adams's signature post-minimalist style, setting the evocative poetry of John Donne and Emily Dickinson to pulsating, harmonically rich textures.
