Album Notes & Community Reviews

David Tudor's Cologne broadcast recording of the four books of 'Music of Changes' documents the piano work Cage composed by tossing coins to consult the I Ching, its notes, durations and dynamics all fixed by chance charts. Tudor, the work's dedicatee, prepared the score for months, and his performance runs to over forty four minutes of radically discontinuous piano writing.
