Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking a crucial turning point in his career, this release was the first to finally incorporate the songwriter's real surname alongside his forced stage moniker. 'Uh-Huh' delivers incredibly tight, unpretentious roots-rock, tackling themes of working-class struggle and small-town American decline with a newfound political sharpness. Bolstered by massive radio hits like 'Pink Houses' and 'Authority Song,' the record firmly established him as a premier architect of heartland rock.
