Pleasure-Escape —

by John Duncan

Pleasure-Escape — cover art

Following severe controversy over his extreme performance art in Los Angeles, Duncan relocated to Japan to record this highly disturbing audio documentary. 'Pleasure-Escape 快楽—逃避' splices illicit, underground field recordings from Japanese adult video sets and criminal activities with ominous, humming industrial drones. The record is deliberately designed to force the listener into a state of extreme psychological discomfort and moral complicity.
