Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded rapidly over a few days with an impromptu supergroup including Ry Cooder and Nick Lowe, 'Bring the Family' catalyzed a major career revival for the seasoned songwriter. Emerging from a period of personal rehabilitation, the stripped-down, emotionally resonant material successfully marries traditional Americana songcraft with sharp, introspective storytelling.
