Album Notes & Community Reviews

Moving away from polished studio backing bands, John Hiatt enlists members of alternative groups like School of Fish to inject a gritty, raucous edge into his songwriting. 'Perfectly Good Guitar' balances his wry Americana roots rock with a noticeably heavier, more spontaneous garage-rock energy.
