Album Notes & Community Reviews

Attempting to capitalize on shifting trends, this session unusually pairs the legendary boogie guitarist with background vocalists and brass sections. While the production occasionally attempts to steer his deeply idiosyncratic timing toward conventional R&B structures, his raw, stomping guitar tone and hypnotic vocal delivery remain untamed. The project highlights a fascinating tension between commercial modernization and primal Delta instinct.
