Album Notes & Community Reviews

Orchestrated largely by guitarist Roy Rogers, 'The Healer' became a massive commercial and critical triumph that successfully introduced the legendary bluesman to a new generation. The album features a star-studded lineup of prominent guest musicians, including Carlos Santana, Bonnie Raitt, and Los Lobos, seamlessly blending contemporary blues-rock production with Hooker's ageless, hypnotic boogie. The title track earned a Grammy Award, solidifying his late-career renaissance.
