Album Notes & Community Reviews

The session captures the Mississippi bluesman backed entirely by a Detroit rhythm section featuring members of the Funk Brothers. The inclusion of an amplified bass and drums provides a steady, driving pulse that heavily contrasts with his usual unaccompanied, arrhythmic boogie style.
