Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping outside his structural role within the Modern Jazz Quartet, the pianist offers an intimate, highly deliberate solo and trio recital. The improvisations eschew typical virtuosic displays in favor of exacting motivic development and profound spatial awareness, reflecting deep ties to European classical forms.
