Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing his departure from his acoustic folk-jazz origins, the celebrated Scottish singer-songwriter delivered a remarkably slick, high-energy pop-rock collection. 'Well Kept Secret' features prominent synthesizer textures and driving rhythms, yielding a brief surge in commercial success and his highest UK chart placement. The polished production highlights his distinctively soulful, slurred vocal delivery within a sophisticated 1980s framework.
