Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally circulated among friends on homemade CD-Rs, this early collection introduces the eccentric, deeply nostalgic lo-fi pop aesthetic of the enigmatic American songwriter. 'Love Letters From Hell' relies entirely on primitive synthesizer presets, stiff drum machine programming, and Maus's haunting, reverberating baritone vocals. It established the foundational, deeply hypnagogic sound that he would refine over the subsequent decade.
