Album Notes & Community Reviews

Embracing a deeply referential, tongue-in-cheek aesthetic, the famed guitarist fully commits to the polished, synthesizer-heavy sound of 1980s adult contemporary pop. 'Sob Rock' meticulously recreates the era's signature chorus-pedal guitar tones and gated snare drums, backing straightforward, lovelorn lyricism. While functioning largely as a nostalgic pastiche, the album showcases his undeniable mastery of smooth, radio-friendly songcraft.
