Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Lost Dogs and Mixed Blessings' actively pairs John Prine's trademark, wryly observant lyrical wit with distinctly heavier, rock-oriented studio production. Helmed by Howie Epstein, the album significantly expands his acoustic roots into more muscular, electric territory without losing his narrative charm. The transition proved highly successful, offering a remarkably energetic mid-career highlight.
