Album Notes & Community Reviews
John Scofield's 'Bump' extends the groove-oriented jazz of 'A Go Go' through twelve original instrumental compositions produced by Richard Seidel. Bassist Chris Wood of Medeski Martin and Wood and Soul Coughing's Mark de Gli Antoni anchor a rotating band including Kenny Wollesen and Tony Scherr, and the writing privileges vamp-based funk structures over solo display.
