Album Notes & Community Reviews
The masterful guitarist navigates a deeply rhythmic, funk-oriented jazz fusion landscape alongside drummer Terri Lyne Carrington. Moving away from his heavily electronic earlier work, 'Flat Out' highlights Scofield's signature, slightly distorted tone and brilliantly fluid improvisational phrasing.
