Album Notes & Community Reviews

The renowned jazz guitarist ventures deeply into energetic jazz-funk on this highly technical, groove-oriented release. Backed by a formidable rhythm section including Dennis Chambers, the intricate, syncopated arrangements provide a thrilling foundation for Scofield's blues-inflected, angular solos. The record is a prime example of his unique ability to merge complex post-bop harmony with relentless funk rhythms.
