Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in Germany alongside an elite rhythm section, 'Rough House' is a masterful exhibition of John Scofield's distinctive, highly angular approach to modern jazz. The guitarist effortlessly navigates complex post-bop harmonic structures while integrating fluid, funk-tinged fusion sensibilities. The session firmly established his reputation as one of the most innovative and forward-thinking voices in the late-seventies jazz landscape.
