Constructed entirely as a solo endeavor, the British reed virtuoso utilized extensive multi-tracking and synthesizers to build complex, looping sonic architectures. His incredibly expressive soprano and baritone saxophone lines weave seamlessly over pulsing, minimalist electronic rhythms. The project laid the crucial groundwork for his signature electroacoustic sound that would dominate his career on the ECM label for decades.
