Album Notes & Community Reviews

The veteran British saxophonist and composer delivers a breathtakingly calm, deeply reflective masterclass in pristine, modern European acoustic jazz. Flanked by a wildly sympathetic rhythm section, his incredibly melodic, entirely instrumental improvisations perfectly embody the spacious, atmospheric hallmarks of the iconic ECM label sound. 'Words Unspoken' is a profoundly peaceful, exceptionally warm late-career triumph.
