Album Notes & Community Reviews

Failing to achieve significant commercial success upon its initial release, this incredibly aggressive debut eventually gained legendary status as one of the most ferocious rockabilly albums ever recorded. Driven by Paul Burlison's heavily distorted, fuzz-laden lead guitar work and incredibly frantic rhythms, the Memphis-based trio delivered a wildly unhinged, heavily rebellious aesthetic. The raw, manic energy captured here profoundly influenced the impending garage rock and punk movements.
