Ragged Old Flag

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Notably one of the few albums in Johnny Cash's extensive catalog where he wrote or co-wrote every track, 'Ragged Old Flag' addresses contemporary political and social issues. The title track, a spoken-word patriotic piece, resonated deeply during the Watergate era, while the rest of the record features stripped-down, traditional country arrangements.
