The incredibly rapid tenor saxophonist leads a hard-hitting quintet session that perfectly showcases his blistering technical command and immense swinging power. Navigating complex bop changes at intense tempos, his playing is characterized by a relentless, blues-oriented drive. The record is a pristine, high-energy document of the Chicago-born titan's formidable improvisational skills.
