Album Notes & Community Reviews

Showcasing his famous velocity and formidable technical command, the 'Little Giant' of the tenor saxophone leads a robust, highly energetic hard bop session. The agile rhythm section perfectly supports his blistering solos, which effortlessly blend intense, rapid-fire runs with a deep, authoritative blues foundation. The record perfectly distills the aggressive, competitive spirit of the late-1950s blowing date.
