Marking the debut of his "Fourth World" aesthetic, Hassell's heavily treated trumpet floats over complex, shifting polyrhythms provided by percussionist Nana Vasconcelos. The recording beautifully synthesizes avant-garde jazz electronics with non-Western structural forms.
