Album Notes & Community Reviews
Jon Hassell's brilliant debut introduced his 'Fourth World' concept, successfully integrating primitive global rhythms with highly advanced electronic processing. 'Vernal Equinox' features his deeply mysterious, heavily treated trumpet lines washing over wonderfully warm, tropical percussion, creating a profoundly psychedelic, sparse, and deeply hypnotic tribal ambient environment.
