Album Notes & Community Reviews
Jon Lord's 'Pictured Within' is a song cycle for voices and orchestra, the Deep Purple keyboardist writing in a lyrical modern classical idiom far from hard rock. Composed after personal loss, it is reflective and melodic, with Lord's piano at its centre.
