Operating under deep anonymity, this mysterious studio project delivered a profoundly strange, alcohol-drenched parody of traditional American country music. 'Texas Funeral' is characterized by its intentional lo-fi sloppiness, slurred vocal deliveries, and aggressive punk-blues distortion that completely deconstructs outlaw country tropes. The intensely obscure cassette release eventually garnered a massive cult following within the alternative country and noise rock scenes.
