Album Notes & Community Reviews

Co-produced alongside BADBADNOTGOOD, Jonah Yano's 'Portrait of a Dog' presents a lush, beautifully orchestrated evolution of his jazz-inflected pop sound. The album is defined by its intricate live instrumentation, including swooning strings and complex percussion, which cradle Yano's delicate, whisper-like vocal delivery. It stands as a warm, highly sophisticated exploration of modern neo-soul.
