Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing his absolute rejection of the loud, aggressive protopunk he helped pioneer, Richman delivers an album of profoundly gentle, acoustic-driven nostalgia. 'Rockin' and Romance' features stripped-down, completely unadorned production, focusing entirely on whimsical vocal harmonies, doo-wop melodies, and childlike lyrical innocence. The record stands as a charming, deeply idiosyncratic highlight of his famously eccentric mid-period career.
