Album Notes & Community Reviews
This album brought together four of the most important young musicians of their generation, a band that would go on to define the sound of modern jazz for the next two decades. 'Moodswing' was the first album to feature this classic quartet, and it's a powerful statement of their incredible chemistry and virtuosity. The music is a modern take on the classic tenor-led hard bop tradition, infused with a fresh, contemporary energy. It was a major statement from the new 'Young Lions' of the 1990s.
