Album Notes & Community Reviews

In stark contrast to Martin Hannett's atmospheric studio production, this blistering Paris concert reveals Joy Division as an incredibly aggressive, punk-rooted live act. Peter Hook's heavily distorted bass and Stephen Morris's militant drumming completely overpower the mix, driving Ian Curtis's desperate, deeply distressed vocals into frantic territories.
