Album Notes & Community Reviews

On his fourth album, Jay Crocker's JOYFULTALK project moves away from solo electronic composition to embrace the chaotic energy of a live ensemble. 'Familiar Science' is a vibrant and largely improvisational work, bringing together a group of musicians to explore the outer limits of avant-garde and free jazz. It's a powerful and energetic record that translates his unique compositional ideas into a dynamic, full-band context.
