Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originating from improvisational sessions with analog synthesizers and sequencers, 'DOGA' sees Juana Molina working with co-producer Emilio Haro to shape a world of experimental pop. The album merges her signature folk-tinged melodies with glitchy electronics and spacious, synthesized orchestral textures, creating a sound that is both rhythmically lively and hauntingly atmospheric. Molina's songwriting balances a quirky, mischievous humor with sonically contrary ideas, utilizing manipulated guitars and layered loops to push her sound forward.
