Materia

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Conceived as a companion piece to her preceding full-length 'Something in the Room She Moves', 'Materia' expands upon the American composer's original arrangements. The project gathers new pieces alongside radical reworkings of earlier compositions, incorporating fretless bass, clarinets, and intricate vocal layers to craft a hallucinatory sonic environment. It effectively blurs the boundaries between a sequel and a standalone work by further stretching her sophisticated harmonic structures.
