Operating under considerable label pressure to deliver a commercial follow-up, the eccentric frontman compromised with a slick, horn-driven pop production. While later disowned by the artist himself as an overly commercial misstep, it yielded several minor hits and remains a curious, polished anomaly in his psychedelic discography.
