Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during his time pursuing a PhD in ethnomusicology, Julian Lynch's sophomore album is a beautifully dense, hazy exploration of avant-folk. The record masks its deeply melodic acoustic songwriting beneath layers of muddy tape distortion, lethargic percussion, and bleating clarinets, standing as a high watermark for the late-2000s hypnagogic pop movement.
