Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following her departure from the Blake Babies, the singer-songwriter's solo debut established her as a vital, highly melodic voice in the 1990s alternative scene. Supported by a roster of indie-rock luminaries including Evan Dando and Mike Watt, the album masterfully balances sweet, jangle-pop sensibilities with sharp, introspective lyrics concerning heartbreak and social alienation.
