Album Notes & Community Reviews
Operating at the intersection of modern classical composition and the Rock In Opposition movement, 'Coulonneux' is a brilliant display of acoustic chamber-prog. The Belgian ensemble utilizes strings, woodwinds, and piano to craft intricate, whimsical, and highly complex instrumental vignettes. It completely subverts standard rock instrumentation while retaining a profound sense of avant-garde experimentation and subtle humor.
