Album Notes & Community Reviews

As early architects of the Native Tongues collective, the group introduced a fresh, Afrocentric perspective to the late-eighties rap landscape. The production prominently integrates jazz and soul samples, creating a laid-back yet rhythmically engaging backdrop for their positive lyricism. It also holds historical significance for featuring an early intersection of hip-hop and house music on the track 'I'll House You'.
