Let Them Eat Chaos

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Let Them Eat Chaos', Kae Tempest crafts a powerful concept album centered on seven strangers awake at 4:18 AM in the same London block, merging urgent spoken-word poetry and rap. Producer Dan Carey provides a raw, atmospheric soundscape of hip-hop and electronic textures that underscores themes of urban isolation, gentrification, and the desperate need for human connection. The Mercury Prize-nominated work builds from individual vignettes of modern despair to a climactic, shared moment of catharsis brought on by a sudden storm.
