Trapéziste

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Japanese pop icon radically moves away from her breezy 1990s origins, delivering a highly sophisticated, experimental suite of avant-garde pop. Collaborating with prominent electronic and free jazz artists, the whisper-thin vocals navigate intricate, often rhythmically abstract sonic landscapes heavily infused with French chanson influences. The record represents a daring and critically acclaimed reinvention of her established musical persona.
