Album Notes & Community Reviews

Processed through Auto-Tune and the Roland TR-808 drum machine, this album was a radical departure for Kanye West. Dealing with the death of his mother and a broken engagement, it is stark, cold, and emotionally raw. It heavily influenced the next decade of hip-hop and R&B.
